Frankie George-Limited edition silk screen print-The Tree

After studying for a Textile design degree at Huddersfield University, I went on to Winchester School of Art to graduate with an MA. Since then, I have had varied working experiences, such as screen printing for an artist and working within a well known homes furnishing studio for 10 years as a textile designer. In recent years I have concentrated on freelancing and now work solely on screen printed images for commissions and my own series prints.

My current work strives to capture a particular memory or characteristics from a photograph, that is adapted and hand screen printed to produce unique pieces. The chosen image is stripped back to basic line and is reconstructed with the build up and layering of minimal colour. This is achieved by combining two screen printed techniques of layering hand cut stencils and photographic imagery that are individually screen printed in acrylic media onto quality paper.
